A letter from the founder

When I started managing Adelaide short-stays almost six years ago, I thought the job was about listing properties. It isn't. It's about decisions and how fast you make them.

The owners I've seen lose money aren't victims of bad luck. They're victims of agents who set a nightly rate in January and check back in June. Pricing needs to move daily. Adelaide's event calendar, corporate travel patterns, seasonal demand: every one of these is an opportunity, and every one gets missed by an operator running on autopilot.

What I've built at Aurea is a system that doesn't sleep. Guesty's enterprise platform manages distribution across 50+ channels simultaneously. A contracted cleaning company with documented procedures and rented linen handles every turnover to hotel standard. Photography that makes your listing stop the scroll, not blend into it. And when something goes wrong, because it will, you hear from me the same day, not when I get around to it.

The part most operators miss is the guest experience itself. We use technology to offer guests easy check-in, personalised guidebooks, and curated upsell experiences. Think private chef bookings, local wine tastings, premium add-ons that guests actually pay for. Those upsells go to revenue. That revenue is shared with you.
